How do I dial telephone numbers from my Iridium phone?

When calling or sending a text message (SMS) from Iridium satellite phones, all telephone numbers must be dialed or entered in the full international format:

• +[country code][area code][phone number], OR
• 00[country code][area code][phone number].

Examples: [phone] or 0014807525105 (a US number), [phone] or 00496313522000 (a phone number in Germany).

Failure to use this format will result in failed or incorrectly placed calls. We also recommend that all phone numbers are saved in your satphone's Phonebook in the full international format.
