Iridium has upgraded its Iridium Mail & Web data optimization app for use with Iridium data services via handsets and GO! devices.
This upgrade introduces a few new features and addresses minor bugs. The primary changes are as follows:
- Support for iOS 10.0+ and Android 7.0 has been added to enhance compatibility with smartphone or tablet.
- “Reply-To” functionality has been added, that gives you the ability to send replies to a separate email account, that you enter. You can even have that email address set to forward emails to your iridium.net email address, thus providing seamless way to access your emails anywhere and anytime.
- Access to PredictWind’s graphical weather data through Iridium Mail and Web login is now possible
- Signal strength has been added to the Iridium GO! Connection Status Bar for all screens to better reflect current network conditions.
While this release is not mandatory, it is strongly recommended that the upgrade is performed as soon as possible to enable the best service experience. The upgrade can be done via Google Play Store or Apple iOS Appstore.
